Coonawarra

Coonawarra is located south of Naracoorte, just a short 30 min drive. Coonawarra is renowned as one of Australia's finest wine regions and is particularly known for producing world class red wines especially Carbernet Sauvignon.

 

Robe Beach

Living in Naracoorte puts you within about an hour's drive of the beach. The beaches of the Limestone Coast are beautiful and not crowded, with an excellent range of accommodation and dining not to mention the fishing and surfing.

A large meat processing facility located near Naracoorte employs around 300 people. Rural communities are heavily focussed around family involvement. The Limestone Coast region is located south of Adelaide and stretches down the coast from the Coorong National Park to the Victorian border. From there, many travellers link up with the Great Ocean Road. In summer months, coastal towns such as Robe and Beachport swell in population as visitors make the most of the stunning beaches and fresh seafood. Winter months are a popular time for the historic towns of Penola and Naracoorte while the Coonawarra wine region is an all-year round favourite.
