Murray Nankivell appoints two new Associate Directors

Murray Nankivell is pleased to announce that Hamish Watson and William Altmann officially took up their roles as Associate Directors on 1 July 2026.

The news was shared with the Murray Nankivell team during our team celebration in Hahndorf. These appointments recognise Hamish and William’s professional expertise, strong client relationships and ongoing contribution to the firm, while strengthening our leadership across the Naracoorte and Murray Bridge offices.

Hamish Watson

Born and raised in Naracoorte, Hamish Watson returned to the region in 2021 to join Murray Nankivell after beginning his accounting career with a large mid-tier firm in Adelaide.

Hamish holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide and is a Chartered Accountant. He works closely with clients across a range of industries, including primary production, trade and retail, delivering accounting, taxation and business advisory services tailored to their individual needs and long-term goals.

Known for his practical and client-focused approach, Hamish enjoys helping businesses navigate challenges, improve performance and achieve sustainable growth.

His commitment to the local community extends well beyond his professional role. Hamish is an active member of the Naracoorte Demons Football Club, where he serves as Treasurer, and is the Chief Financial Officer of the MacKillop Farm Management Group.

As Associate Director, Hamish continues to support clients from Murray Nankivell's Naracoorte office while playing an important role in the firm's leadership, strategic direction and ongoing growth across the region.

William Altmann

Raised in Murray Bridge, William is proud to work in the community he calls home. Since joining Murray Nankivell in 2018, he has built strong relationships with clients across the region and developed a reputation for providing practical advice and genuine support.

William holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide and is a Chartered Accountant. Working closely with a diverse range of industries, including primary production, retail and trade businesses, William provides accounting, taxation and business advisory services tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

William is passionate about helping his clients make informed decisions with confidence. By taking the time to understand what is important to his clients, William focuses on delivering advice that is practical, transparent and aligned with their goals.

Outside the office, William is actively involved in the local community serving as Treasurer of the Rambler Football Club, reflecting his commitment to supporting community organisations. 

William is based in our Murray Bridge office with regular visits to our Lameroo visiting office. As Associate Director, William continues to provide leadership and support to both his clients and our team, playing an important role in the strategic direction and growth in the firm.
